The Home Environment

 

The home provides a  comfortable, spacious and attractive “Home-Like” environment for the service users. Holly Cottage has 12 single bedrooms – all of which have en-suite toilet facilities, spacious lounge, well-fitted kitchen, dining area, Activity Room, communal sitting areas, bathrooms and large outside area.

 

Each bedroom is attractively decorated and fully furnished. Some service users and/or their relatives may decide to bring their own furniture/furnishing. All bedrooms are supplied with adequate heating, lighting, ventilation and hot water. Any repairs or re-decorating will be done as and when they are required. All bedrooms are supplied with an adequate number of electrical outlets and wired for television viewing.

 

Visitng

 

Relatives, friends and representatives from the placing authority are encouraged to visit the service users as often as they are able to.  Prior notice of the visit is preferable (though not essential), which will enable staff to plan the service users’ day more effectively.
