Coronavirus Outbreak (COVID-19)

It is now compulsory for all visitors to wash their hands thoroughly on arrival.

 

Follow NHS hand-washing technique guide displayed. Use the soap provided and alcohol sanitiser as needed. 

 

On arriving at the care home, a staff member will request information from you that is relevant to outbreak management.

 

Avoid all hand to hand contact as much as possible. i.e.: Hand Shakes, fist bumps etc.

 

 

Have you travelled abroad?

 

If you have travelled abroad where the COVID-19 outbreak is present, please DO NOT ENTER THE PROPERTY until you have had 14 days since the date you return to the UK and you do not have any symptoms.

 

Please DO NOT ENTER THE PROPERTY if you suspect you have had direct contact with another person (includes events) where COVID-19 was confirmed positive.

 

Please call our office and arrange your visit after 14 days since the return to the UK or since contact with COVID-19 positive person.

 

We strongly advise all who have travelled abroad to any country to avoid contact with residents and staff until 14 days have passed since date returned to the UK.

 

If you are living in an area confirmed with COVID-19 positive cases, please call our office and discuss your visit.

 

These new changes are in place to reduce the risk of this virus spreading to our vulnerable residents and the staff.

 

The statistics show that there is a higher fatality rate for those with complex health needs.

 

 

Have you been confirmed positive with COVID-19?

 

If you have been confirmed positive with COVID-19, please call the office and inform as soon as possible, especially if you had contact with our residents or staff in the last 14 days since your COVID-19 symptoms.

 

 

Do you suspect COVID-19?

 

Symptoms (NHS):

  • a high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
  • a new, continuous cough – this means you've started coughing repeatedly

 

If you do have Coronavirus symptoms as described by the NHS, although it may have not been confirmed positive and if you have had contact with us within 14 days prior to your symptoms please let us know and follow the NHS advise.

 

If you have been asked to self-isolate related to COVID-19 and if you have had contact with us within 14 days prior to your isolation please let us know.
